This year for our holiday vacation we decided to check a city off our travel list, go someplace warm, and take a trip to Oaxaca Mexico.  Oaxaca is a great place to travel for food, Mexican history, and art.  While there we learned more about the life and art of Frida Kahlo.  Apart from her paintings we were fascinated by the way she lived.  Between her illness and a car accident Frida spent most of her life with health issues and made corsets and casts for her body. The last image is of an exhibit we visited at La Casa Azul in Mexico City, displaying current designs inspired by Frida Kahlo. It was the "Appearances Can Be Deceiving" in collaboration with Vogue Mexico.
